Default Contaminated fuel question

Hey guys, this isnt ford related related, but hoping someone can help.

My daily commuter (leon fr tdi) - basically i had a can of diesel in the shed so i chucked it in the car. I ran the car for about 15 miles when all off a sudden it became sluggish and kept cutting out. It woudnt really go much over 2k revs.

On further inspection the can the diesel was in was dirty. So im guessing the diesel was contaminated

Ive drained the fuel tank and put fresh clean diesel in. Its improved but is still sluggish and now wont go over 3k revs. Its almost like the turbo isnt kicking in! The glow plug warning light is also flashing. In the manual it says this is an engine fault. Have i screwed my engine with this contaminated fuel?

Many thanks

Yes probably clogged the filter. Is there a water trap in the filter? Try draining it if it has.
