So. My 3 door has been languishing in the garage about 3 years as the head gasket started failing. I've already purchased a small turbo escos gasket and 3 door head bolts from Matt Lewis for the job. Now I'm thinking while the engine is out and in the bench I'd be a fool not to renew all the other associated gaskets and seals. The question is which ones. I look online and ebay. I see cometic this, Viton that. Now I've seen a set that has a steel centre and foam either side. Claiming to be superior. It's a minefield. Help lol

 

cometic gasket set will be fine,and re-usable.

 

Re-usable as in head gasket?

 

Its the other gaskets that are supposed to reusable , not advisable to re-use a headgasket

 

i used the steel cored gaskets on my old 3 door they worked bang on did not lose a drop of any fluids all the years i had it
