Default Mk1 focus 1.8 tdci diesel obd2?

Hi everybody
New on the forum, but hoping to get a warm welcome? 😁
Do any of you wise guys know if my 2002 1.8 tdci mk1 diesel is obd2 complient? Tried 2 different kinds, but neither can get insider the ecu 😢

Hope you can help, even if my prediction is correct..
Thanks.

No, it's not compliant to EOBD (the European version of OBD2).
Didn't have to be until 2004.

Okay, thanks for the quick reply Oldford.. Do you perhaps know of any other way to connect to the ecu, without going to a mechanic?

Buy something like Focom. That does seem to have support for the 1.8 diesel.
Although tdci starts at 2003.
