The rear line is shared between both so of its got pressure on one side it should be the Same on the other

You've been using the ignition to build up the pressure correct?

If what you are saying is correct why does the abs block have 3 holes

The front brake links are separate and there's no such thing as a return.

I think the abs block does have a return to the master cylinder, it is the larger centre outlet on the master on a 4x4 and car.

we are basing our assumptions on the later abs setups, which have a separate master cylinder setup and a separate abs valve block

in which the master has one feed to the block for the rear line, one feed to the block for the front line and another return back from the block

the block then has 2 inputs and 4 outputs, one return to master, one line to the rear and one for each front

one the early versions the block was integrated into the master assembly

if you have the later one then you should be seeing pressure from the master to the block and it will be the output that is the problem, sometimes these have been caused by something as simple as an air lock

I guess that is where the confusion comes from. On the LHD cars the master cylinders and valve blocks are always integrated. So I was only talking about the lines towards the calipers.
