Default cosworth stage 3 advice needed

hi all, i have a 3 door cosworth im currently buying a few bits for and over the winter months going from a stage 1 to stage 3 set up, so far i have a stage 3 evolution chip, 3 bar, bosch 044 fuel pump and group a fuel pump loom, i will get the 803s shortly, the question i have is i bought the ecu with the chip inside and although its defo stage 3 and for 803s i dont know the correct set up and was wondering i know this will sound stupid but does it matter if the chip was set up for a t34 and i have a standard turbo or does the turbo have nothing to do with the set up of the chip, i did try contacting the evolution website for the correct set up as i have the number off the chip but have not got a reply yet, and one more thing how necessary is a uprated intercooler for a stage 3 set up or is it not really needed for around 330 bhp, any help or info would be much appreciated.

The chip must be for the correct exact spec of engine/ancills, for example if you have a chip for a t3 and your running a t34 then the volume of air is greater at a given pressure so the engine would run leaner

That's MSD's, contact Stu on here and give him the S/N. He can tell you what the calibration is for.

Maybe better taking it to the likes of msd for a checkup and live map mate will run so much better and stu managed to flag up some problems with mines that could potentially of lead to my engine going tits up, I'd of never known unless he told me!

It's good getting the all clear from a pro.

Contradictory but the old chip out mines is for Bosch dark greens, 3 bar map sensor and a t3 ect I don't need it you can have it for free if you want but I would recommend a live map tbh mate. Forgot to add its for a L6 ecu I think 3drs are L1 aren't they?

I would defo get the car set up when its all done.

Fit a bigger intercooler too matey. A stage 3 car will be quick enough and reliable too.

thanks for the replys its very much appreciated and i will try to find stu on here to get the spec, as far as the intercooler goes does anyone know if the airtek ones on ebay for around Ł295 are they a direct fit, i will try and get it set up properly when i have all the bits fitted but to be honest its 50/50 why im going to stage 3, one side i want the extra power but the other im trying to resolve a problem i probably should have started another thread about this but here it goes, the cosworth has been handed down to me after being in storage for a long time, its such a lovely looking moonstone 3 door i will try to get some pics up if i can, however it has developed a intermittent over fueling problem, it can be driven fine for say 1 mile then all of a sudden it just floods with fuel and i have to pull it off keep the throttle floored for about 2 mins until it clears it then it can be fine for however long until it does it again, i have tried a few things some time ago but going to have another go and see if i can cure it, thats why i thought i would get the fuel pump and loom incase the loom needs replacing and the new ecu incase mine has the wrong chip in it ect,

That calibration is for a mechanically standard YB with Bosch 803s, a 3 bar map sensor and a Standard T3. Ecu is L1.

Ideally, to maintain the correct boost curve, yes.
