New shape Fiesta Zetec-S Tdci......Talk to me
Hi All,
In the next year or 2 (or sooner if funds allow), I'm looking to downsize from my current ride (2007 Mondeo Tdci) to potentially a Fiesta Zetec-S (2008-).
what I would like to know is:
1) Are there any problems to look out for?
2) what are they like to live with on a daily basis?
3) Are they as frugal as they say they are?
As the title say, talk to me........ lol
thanks in advance.

I do not have a Fiesta bud but have a Focus 64 plate zetec s tdci 1.6 and love it, don't think the fiesta has the 6 speed box in them but dirt cheap to run.
I bought mine new pre registered in January this year with 6 miles on clock, will be turning 19k this weekend and I get 600-630 miles from a tank its only about Ł50 to fill it up. Its never skipped a beat computer reads about 61.4 mpg that's motorway plus heavy bypass traffic commute return at night. My works a 74 mile round trip daily.
Just had mine remapped 2 weeks ago was 115 standard, company that remapped it says average gain is about 30-32 horse and 55-60 torque. Deffo pulls away much sharper, You could actually stall these pretty easily if you tried but takes away like a different car.
By the way I came from a 57 plate 2.0 TDI 170 Audi A4 qauttro and do not miss that pile of shite in the slightest.

I had a 14 plate Fiesta ZS TDCI 1.6 for 10 months and only got rid of it for my 15 plate Fiesta ST2, as the ZS was too slow.
Aside of that it was great. It used 2 and 1/4 tanks of fuel to get from Northern Ireland to Northern Italy via mainland UK. Which is good considering it was a 40L tank. It was averaging around 57.8MPG along that trip.

The Mrs has one identical to your pic. I use it very often and it's a great wee car. Enough poke to get about, Ł20 or Ł30 a year road tax and it's brilliant on fuel.
She was desperate to get rid of her Mini she had as things were going wrong (56 plate) and she jumped into the one she bought. If She'd waited longer I would have found her the Streetpack one with reverse sensors, electric folding mirrors and one with cruise control.
I've heard the dpf's are bad for clogging up but she's never had a problem, drives 20 miles each way to work and she can be heavy footed so it's probably enough to keep it clear. Once she's bored of it I think I'll keep it for myself tbh. Very very cheap to run.
