Exclamation Sapphire Cosworth 4x4 Rear Hub/Disk/Backing Plate

Hi,

Rebuilding rear hubs and the backing plate that normally sits just off the disk now sits about 4" off the disk, proving difficult as I never took it apart I'm just rebuilding it.

I can see how it can go any other way.

Currently I have the cross member/backing plate/hub/disk, the only thing I can think of is the disk is more shallow with it being vented vs a solid disk?

Thanks

The 4x4 and 2WD are different set ups, perhaps you have one mixed up. the 2wd had a solid disc and slightly different hub, the 4x4 was the vented disc.

Hi,

I have vented disks, I just think the gap between the backing plate and the disk is a bit big.

I just presumed the vented and solid disks may have been different hence the space between plate and disk.

I will have to try and scour the site to see if I can see anyone has taken a picture of the hub disk and plate.
