Default Searching: MK1 lower rear boot spoiler

Hey Cossie Guys, I'm trying to finish a 12 year project. I have an
88 Merkur Xr4ti (aka MK1) I have the RS500 front and rear spoiler.
I need the lower boot spoiler to finish my car. As you may have
guessed I live in the US. It doesn't stop me from lusting after something
I can never have, but I can make it as close as I can. I'm running a
2.3 with stainless header, 3" exhaust, 65mm throttle body 42lb Bosch
injectors, Mustang SVO computer (superchipped) shaved, Ported,
and polished head with a front mount intercooler. I should be making
close to 340 hp when it's finished, it's not your YB but the best I
can do with what's available here. If anyone has a spare they can
ship to North Carolina I would be willing to pay between 150 and
200 British pounds for it depending on whether it is Ford or after-
market. Please let me know. I check this post 5 days a week as
well as eBay UK. I'll be doing this when I get it. Thanks, Lyn

Xsport Racing are making these in fibreglass now.

You will not find a genuine Ford item (cossie or not) for less than Ł200.

Thanks guys, I had no idea how much things have gone up since I last
bought parts for this car. I think I will have to go for the aftermarket
wide piece since I don't have a real Cossie. It will look good enough!
Most people don't know wtf it is anyway.

Hi Gents, I found 2 on eBay one is in Essex for 100 pounds but
he won't post to US, so if you know anyone who needs one,
sounds like a good deal. I went with the new style fiberglass
for 70 pounds, it looks great in the pictures, so I'm gonna give
it a go. Thanks to everyone for the info. Cheers, Lyn

Luckily i still have a genuine Ford spoiler but its not the cosworth model so doe not have the V cut out for the whale tail.

I need the clips for this spoiler - anyone know where to get these from?

I dont fancy bonding this on, as I bonded an orginal rs500 item on my moonstone 3dr years ago and i couldnt get it off when i stripped the car so had to let it go with the shell

I have a brand new unused genuine Ford base model spoiler (for my base model ) with all the bits & bobs and have been pondering the same thing for some time.

If it gets a load of tiger seal then that's it - it aint budging but the shitty sticky back strips on the underside of the spoiler and those little clips look like someone could have it away if they fancied it.

With that in mind I reckon bonding it on permanently is the way forward - you know you aint gonna lose it parked up somewhere or have it fly off the back of the car whilst driving.

I'm sure Ford knew what they were doing when slapped it on the RS500 but like I say just looking at what came in the box doesn't fill me with confidence
