Heres the situation.... The sound system in my cossie. All speakers changed to better ones. Ive got a 4 channel amp in the boot which is powering the bass box and the front door speakers.
Radio A works fine when im listening to the radio. I put the radio/cd player on the aux setting so i can listen to my phone or select cd. The amp doesnt power up.
There is no power to the amp from the back of the radio to the amp. It works fine on radio.
So i swap the radio/cd player over with another on (B) it works fine for a few days then does the same as the first head unit.
Put head unit A back in and it works fine on radio cd and aux. A few days later its back to normal. It will only power the amp up when im listing to the radio.
Ha ha what a carry on.

This is because the switched live you have chosen to switch on the amp is the aerial power, when on cd or aux that switches off so electric aerials are in the down position when on cd
My 100E is set up that way..
you need to move your amp switched feed to the accesory live power

So why did it work for a few days on all of them then just stopped working. Surely it would only work on the radio straight away.
The head unit has been fine for the last 3 years. Its just started doing it.

Check the earths as said. Is the power definitely going off or is it loosing the audio signal? My amps are switched by audio sensing so they fire up when they detect a signal then shut down 30 secs after the signal goes.

The amp as got a good live and a good earth.
Head unit B worked fine in my Ford Puma for well over a year. When you switch from radio to cd the power for remote feed to the amp from the radio disappears.

You have wired it to the wrong remote lead. there is 2 blue ones, one for the amp that is live all tge time when the unit is on, and another that comes live when you select radio only, which powers an electric aerial.
To confirm it, turn it to cd, then turn the traffic announcements on (ta button). You'll find the amp will come on!
