Hi all. The rev counter on my 1987 sierra cosworth doesn't work. Previous owner said it worked only now and again but its not worked at all for me. Its got the MSD wasted spark fitted and the standard L1 ecu with a MSD chip. Im going to start by looking at the back of the counter itself to see if its had the mod to the circuit board but is there anything else i should be looking for?

They don't work mate or very little do with the wasted spark board fitted
The only way to more or less get it working is fit a mk1 Mondeo rev counter iirc Matt baxter did this and never had a issue

 

I sent mine to speedy cables,they replace the board in the Rev counter and calibrate it to work with twin coils
