Hi lads,
I've noticed recently that I'm getting less MPG from my 2WD Saff.
It's 380/400 T35/.55, 55lbs Stage 4 spec I'm led to believe etc etc...
Before I'd get just about 300 miles for a full tank. I always fill up from empty to full. That's 300 miles of mixed driving, urban and motorway, giving it a boot full on occasion lol but not acting the mick doing it constantly. I'd get close to 350 motorway driving only.
Last 2 full tanks I've gotten a diabolical 180 and 200 miles respectively.
Could this be an indication that my FPR is giving up and throwing more petrol in?
Or am I missing something?
I have another thread with a fuel gauge problem but this is unrelated as I always count the number of litres and do the MPG figures based on this.
I believe the tank is 60 litres and I normally get 300 miles so MPG is 60 litres = 13.2 gallons. 300 miles / 13.2 = 22.73 MPG --> Not great?
200 / 13.2 = 15.15 MPG --> SHITE!!!
Just to clarify I don't care about fuel economy and buying petrol cos I love the car and if it needs it, I buys it
I just want to make sure nothing is amiss and want to look after the engine
Any info is appreciated as per usual
Cheers.
Philip.

Would be also worth checking the running temperature, as the ambeint temps have started to drop closing in on winter, the coolant temperature may be struggling to get out of the cold start map depending on the stat and cooler types being used.
i used to average 200-220 on a tank full running 400bhp.
My personal best was 150 miles round silverstone and also achieved this on the road once as gave it a boot full from full tank to empty. I had to refuel a couple of hours later

Going to check the sensor output from the ECU with regards to the outside temp, then check the table on bigturbo.co.uk and see if it matches or is ballpark. If yes, the struggle continues...if no, will order one from Matt Lewis. Cheers for the reply mate.
Cheers for the MPG figures...maybe I'll try and beat 150 when I get it all sorted lol Philip.
