Default Yb spark plugs

What spark plugs are best for 400bhp on WS, currently using 071's but I thought I saw something about them being a lower spec now.

MSD recommended Denso Iridium plugs. Give them a call and they will be able to sell you the correct ones for your set-up.

Had the same issue - bought a set of 4 and one was dead, put an old one back in and ran fine. Ended up just cleaning the old set and sticking with those!

used both. densos are better on a coilpack 071's on std ignition.

Saying that short runs and moving car around will foul up denso plugs quicker.

I have never had any problems with Denso Iridium plugs and wasted spark ignition.

A faulty 071 cost me my first race of the season, put 4 new plugs in after qually then on the green flag lap I came on boost for the first time and it would barely run!
pulled off after half a lap, hurts when it costs 300 quid and you do half a lap!
got loads more 071's and did a test day swapping them around till I got a few good known working sets

We gave up selling 071s. Too many dead ones out of the box. Stick with Denso Iridium.

Why don't you just buy plugs that work

Because i'd never had an issue with them previously and had several sets in stock, I completed the rest of the season without having to take them out again.
For next season I will move to a different plug yes

Iv just had 2 densos give up after 200 miles and a set of 071's started missing after 300 miles! Got a combination of the 2 now just to get the car running on 4 cylinders.

I have had the same set of Denso Iridium plugs in my car for the last 18 months with no problems at all. I cant understand why you have had 2 fail in such a short distance. I have got wasted spark ignition, maybe that helps?

You clearly have a problem that you need sorting before you kill your engine.

Maybe there is a problem that is causing them to break down then. Have u got any ideas what it could be? The car is on a low boost base map to run it in and is not ragged everywhere just a quick blast now and again.

The question is are you bore washing it now.
Check cranking and first start fueling.
