Default Trying to Fit a 38dgas on a 1.6cvh, is it possible?

I have a 1600 cvh engine and was planning on fitting a 38dgas weber carb to it but the stud holes do not line up, but they are not too far off. Is it a simple case of elongating the stud hole on the carburettor and fitting it? Has any one done this before? Any help is much appreciated

38 dgas came from a 3 litre capri so it would overfuel a 1.6 cvh.

Yes i did this before.

Just elongate the holes on the carb to fit the studs.

You will also need to bore out the holes on the top of the manifold to allow the butterflies to open and flow more air.

If you jet it correctly it will not overfuel but it may be a bit OTT, you could just use a carb for a 2.0 litre.
