anyone help ...i have rs500 alloys fitted to my 83 xr3i the tyers are rubbing on
the plastic brake pipe carrier that is fastened to the inner wing on full lock, would you use wheel spacers ..if so where who would be the best supplier

thanks for comments ..white one as no rot anywhere no welding, bought it blind last year from anglia car auctions they even delivered it ..when it arrived the truck bed was full of rust ...horror..turns out car had been stood for a while last time on the road 12years ... under close inspection rust was from the exhaust. when i removed the exhaust it was full of acorns and all manor of seeds i mean full right the way up to the down pipe .....squirrel larda .....

that lump came from a university in london been used for 20 or so years to test budding mechanics hence why its in a crate, what they did was disconnect bits move bits around then the students had to take a test ...

not sorted yet mate ..thems new tires /may have to change them or go down spacer route not happy about spacers /longer bolts then wheels may stick out too far

cheers for that mate but mine are bolts /i will have to remove a wheel tonight and see what the thickness of the lip is, which basically keeps the wheel centralized and that the spacer as to be the correct fitment, ( sure you cannot put any old spacer on )still be cheaper than 4 new tires
Dont bother with those cheap crappy ones linked above on ebay. You want HUBCENTRIC spacers.
I fit these to my ERST:

I also did a stud and nut conversion while I was at it. I used 60mm Studs, which are longer enough to clear the spacers and alloys.
I have no rubbing and the wheels fill the arches nicely.

Ones I linked are direct hub fit and not crappy? Machined out of solid piece of aircraft alimuinm.
You ave linked 12mm thick ones which have a extra flange for the wheel to sit on. On 5mm it is impossible to have extra flange as that's what the original hub flange sticks out by so they are the best you can buy. Far better than the cast multi fit ones which taper in thickness

I also have a FRST and theres 5mm spacers on the hubs, Same type as you linked above and fitting the wheels is a bloody nightmare, and the alloys barely sit on the hubs.
