recently purchased this as a weekend car, runs great but looking for ideas on how much to lower it by and what sort of wheels to put on ?
anyone got any images of 5 door mk4 escorts to give me some ideas what looks cool.

Nice car matey. I'd say either a set of 17" Rs 7 spokes lowered 30 or 60mm would look nice or I used to run a mk4 escort 5 door on a set of pug 205/309 gti wheels and that looked quite smart, cheap wheels to buy back then

if you do anything fit some period correct alloys and maybe a tad lower and loose the fogs
