I'm in the same boat, i rang one spot and they said they set up using mirrors and string - i thought yes maybe it used to work fine but i don't fancy a fully adjustable beam done that way.

Then it turns out a garage around the corner can sort it but the guy is away rallying for a month

You'd be surprised at how many people still prefer to set it up that way, drawing a centreline down the car etc.

But yes id take it to somewhere with 4 wheel laser alignment, but it's bloody expensive if you adjust everything!

Surly any good tracking centre with 4 wheel alignment can do it to the setting you require if you know what you want

Stringing the car is the best way to do it and it's the way I do it.

The bloke at RSR engineering used to run the le mans racers for AFN Porsche and then Won the Porsche Cup with Paul Edwards many times....he always used to string my car and all the GT3's and 911 RSR race cars.
