Default A nice quick one for someone who knows

Just took this off my rad on my puma, any idea what it is, sat between the rad cowling on the bottom right. something to do with tempo im guessing , just never seen it before

Maybe fan setting resistor. I know they get hot so have to be indirect air flow ?

Might be an outside air temp sensor? if the car had a little display some where???

It is the fan resistor for low and high speed
