Default Mcrae 3 door

A long time ago I worked in the Sunbury office of Legal and General and a pretty lady called Jacqui Brown ran the admin team, she and her Husband owned a Mcrae tiger striped 3 door and I wondered if they were on here at all?..I bet that is a valuable Sierra these days. I think the Husband did some Marshalling work too?

not sure if it was Colins car or Alistairs but I think Jimmy had expressed an interest in buying it back for their Museum.

It certainly looks like it....do you know who owns it now? It looks like it made it in to the museum.

There's a few replicas about, that's the car that they all drove, don't think it's been out of the family but could be wrong on that one.

Jimmy drove it at the McRae rally challenge in May at Knockhill and there was one near identical on track too

I have a few photos of it in the service area, lovely piece of history to see back on the gravel that day

That sierra above has always been in the family, they all drove it, it was reshelled few years ago, but always McRae owned, so there's a lookalike in a museum lol

I'm pretty certain that it was an older couple that had the other one at Knockhill in May,I'll have a rake about in the photos I have to see if I took any of it.

I don't know how old he was but I am sure she would be in 50's or more as I was mid 20s and she seemed very grown up lol.

The Mcrae's haven't always owned it though.
Jimmy bought it back from Ireland a while ago and said it was so rough that he had to reshell it, and that's the one you see him exercising these days, but on original ID. Housemaid's broom like most rally cars!
