044 pump, good condition wiring and hosing, and big enough injectors.
And that's about it.

I've got a facet red top lift pump feeding a 1.5ltr swirl pot and 044 fuel pump. That pump that Mark mentions may be a good option for me. I wonder if I'd have to upgrade lift pump?

Yes if you look up the specs on the facet they cant cope and only work due to the return filling the swirl pot.
I changed to a holley blue pump which was quieter in operation and greater flow rates.

Thanks Paul, that's another thing I`ll be buying then. I wonder if that`s why I melted a piston!?

Are you monitoring fuel temp on that as that's a lot of heat going in to that fuel.

The pump you require depends on the boost you run. At 2.5bar your pump will need to be efficient at 2.5 + 3.5 bar = 87psi. Most are out of puff at this. Also the fuel you use is mega important the bsfc of pump is .6 change to Methanol & its 1.2 meaning twice the fuel needs to be pumped Race Fuel is around .9 meaning 50% more required. This is a subject I have studied. I was going to write a tech article on Pump/Injector choice at high boost its very interesting.
