hi, guys. bought a t reg focus 16 zetec estate back in jan. when driving over speed ramps or small potholes etc, ive noticed a knocking sound from the n/s rear , been getting worse over the last few days.( its not the new rear silencer hitting the body) prob one of the bushes on a rear arm ? any suggestions ? thanks guys. steve w.

 

will be the usual very common trailing arm bushes cheap as chips to buy major pain in arse to fit

 

Very easy to fit with the special tool you can buy.
Don't have to remove the arm only drop it down.
Check on ebay trailing arm bush tool

Could also be anti roll bar bushes or drop links, not uncommon.

Check to make sure the suspension arm where thw spring sits isnt rotton around the roll bar link.

 

hi,guys. ! i got fed up with the focus estate.NO NEED FOR A REPLY AS ITS GONE TO THE BREAKERS ! ! found out what was wrong with it. both drop links, bushes, welding needed, and then the clutch went :angry(:then i buy another problem car ! (gear change problems on a tddi) ahh well ! . cheers guys. steve.
