New Xr3i cab
Picked up an Xr3i convertible from my uncle for the bargain price of £800 just before xmas and although it's pretty sound there's a couple of smaller jobs that need attending to to finish it off.
The main one is the hood. It's a fairly new hood judging by it's condition but it doesn't sit fully flat when closed. How difficult is it to tension? Also there's a tiny bit of moisture getting inside the car so is there a check list for known weak points in the hood?
The other problem is the fuel gauge sender isn't working and it doesn't mention removing it in the haynes manual. Does the fuel tank need to be removed to gain access to it?
Thanks in advance.
