Default How do I get Ford UK to verify my car

Hi,
My car is due to arrive in the UK in the next few days and I just found out that I am able to tax relieve as my Ford Sierra RS Cosowrth 2WD was imported from the UK and now it's going back to the UK.

Anyone knows who I can speak to , so I can get the endorsement by Ford UK .

Best,
Jas

Nothing to do with Ford, all they can provide is a certificate of EU conformity, but you wont need that anyway as your car will be over 10 years of age.

If the car has been out of the country for more than 2 years you have to pay import duty and vat anyway, even if it was originally a UK car.

Over 30 years old and they will drop the duty but that applies only to 3drs at the moment.

You dont need an IVA as its over 10 years old.

Pay the import duty and VAT, get a NOVA form from customs once that is done, have the car MOTd on its VIN number, fill out the DVLA form for first registration, attach a cheque, send it all off and job done.

Hi,
We allied from DVLA and would wait for them

When car is here , I would just pay import duty and Mot like you suggested if DVLA doesn't come back in time.

Anyone knows who can uninstall my Motec and fix a L6 ecu into the car and get it tuned .

Any ideas how much it would cost and the car would be in Kent

Everyday is a school day! I didn't know you didn't need a certificate of conformity if the car was over 10 years old! Recently advised someone differently, whoops!

EDIT: The website seems to suggest it's not needed if it's over 20 years, or have I read that wrong?

Hey Mate,
It's because I would not have to pay import duties and just need to pay the VAT 😁

also I have been told if you apply as a classic car, even though its not old enough you might not have to pay the vat ,the dvla decide if its a classic ,no harm in checking that
