Colour Change?
Whats peoples thoughts on this? Ive never wanted to deviate from the white of my car but the way im rebuilding it at the moment (very track orientated) Im thinking maybe a colour change. Ive mocked this up roughly, and its a series 1 not 2 as I didn't have a pic of high enough resolution to do properly of a s2. {Pic is owned by Paul Bennett} But still gives feel.

Its meant to be as close to Audi Nardo grey as I can get it but this laptop aint the best at viewing colours on.

Im going to keep the inside white but quite like this for the outside. Would you do it or is it too modern a colour?

if its a proper bodykit off full resto job then why not paint it white, then wrap it that dull flat grey that you are looking for.... that way the paint underneath is perfect.and protected if you decide to sell later on its just pulling off some wrap then.
or if u want grey, theres a shiny metallic grey that looks similar, but is shiny ,and glimmers in the sun. reyland put it on his firenza, think its an audi colour(or mercedes does it too---its proper lurvely)
theres also shiny red on ans1 that looks fantastic.
youre stuck for options on s1 as they only really look good in some colours- red, black, and silver. tbh,my opinion only.

bit more shine there.Frozen white is my number 1 choice. It will look perfect in that with the plans I have. Just saw a rs4 in it the other day and like hmmm.
On the right car it can get away with it. There's a skoda fabia in the same colour down my road. Looks shite lol. I think on an old escort, it looks too much like a 'work in progress' lol
IMHO the grey looks great but it would be one of those colours where you would need a good paintjob to pull it off (I.E a £1k blowover will not cut it and make it look almost like primer...) and it is one of those colours where either great photography or seeing it in the daylight would really make it stand out as something special.
For that reason I would say stick with White because it hides a multitude of imperfections (there is a reason why most vans are painted white
) and it will help the resale value, which at the moment seem to be heading one way. Yes you could attract another buyer with Grey but you are also limiting your market as well.

This is also a great shout. If it were me I would wrap the car if the bodywork is sound. That way you get the best of both worlds.

I'm gonna get my spare bonnet sprayed up and see how it looks. I want to do it but then frozen white with the cage white too would look so crisp and fresh. Could be an expensive gamble...
