hello everyone,
Yesterday I was looking at the wiring diagram of my erst2 and I noticed that from the ignition ecu starts two wire that are called: KNOCK THRESHOLD ADJUSTMENT and LOW OCTANE ADJUSTMENT (pin 11 and 23)
for curiosity I went to see on the loom of the car and I saw that these two wires are cut.
does anyone know if this is normal or must be connected to something?

recently my knock sensor does not work more properly . unfortunately I can not find it , does anyone know if you can put something to simulate the sensor , for example a resistance ???

 

Could you use a early model ecu which I believe didn't use a knock sensor?

 

I had thought about it but I don't have the second ect sensor and I don't know if the first ECU need this
