Everything has come at once for my mondeo st tdci, MOT, new tyres and new egr valve. Fitted the new egr valve and it ran sweet for about 30 miles then it went into limp mode three times, this time with a new fault code... P0251... Great, and I hit a deer in the week so it needs a complete new front bumper

Blank off the egr m8.....or if you really want one get one from Jaguar for xtype 2.2 diesel as its the same part for less than half the cost.
Blanking is best imo as it costs nothing apart from getting hold of a piece of 3 to 5 mm flat plate a little time making a template drilling 2 holes and fitting.......bonus is no more black oily crap going back into your engine and better emmisions

Egr valves are a shit design. They fook up on most vehicles.
I put a rear wheel bearing in the wifes last month. It went again 2 weeks ago so i went back to euro car parts and got another one under parts warranty. We went to the lakes monday gone and the fooker went again
I had to take it to a garage to get repaired which i hate doing. The garage has put 1 brake drum on and 1 wheel bearing.
I wish she would get rid of it and get a new car lol

P0251 is a fuelling issue of some sort. Makes sense because when I changed the egr valve I notice number 3 injector was damp. Think I need to do a leak down test and see what's what.
A couple of months ago my car needed 4 tyres, full service, cambelt change, bumper repair after some cunt drove in to it and an MOT.
The wife's car also had a heater matrix changed, new radiator, service and MOT.
Didn't have much change out of 3 grand lol

My old jag x-type 2.0d was the same. day before its MOT it started smoking. went in regardless and failed due to injectors leaking, egr valve goosed and a cracked inlet manifold. Garage went ahead and done the work and hit me with a sizeable bill. CARS!
