Been checking every thread, website forum etc in cyberworld and still can't get a true answer as to the location of the outside temperature sensor on a mk3 2001 mondeo!! Mine is faulty - both <5C and <1C lights are on and display went to -40C, now it's blank. Any ideas???

 

Think car outside temp sensors are around the slam panel behind the front bumper.

 

Its behind the front bumper.either in the centre or to one side around the fog light area.they changed where they put them during production

If you can remove the bumper under tray you should see it on the drivers side just below the headlight

On the St cars it was clipped into the front grille and the wire is longer than the standard versions
