Restoring my ERST and the only rusty bits on the car couldn't be in worse places, 2 holes in the scuttle panel about three inches in either side of the bottom of the screen and one in the top corner. The engine and box are ready to drop out as I want to strip & check them and all the wipers/mech etc are out.
To repair this properly is way beyond me and I would think being able to get in the empty engine bay should make the job easier if maybe not easy so basically I need someone to do the work in my garage.
Given the panels are all original and it's never been painted, I'm having sleepless nights that someone suggests replacing the scuttle panel altogether
Best of it was that all off this was barely noticeable before I cut the screen rubber out,Peeing me of that the dash and trim will have to come out as hate fooling with interior trim, never seems to go back the same.
Any opinions welcomed, I'm in Central Fife if anyone can recommend anyone? No catty cowboys, want it done properly.

Easy repair. You don't need a new scuttle, just a bit of fabrication. Any half decent bodyshop can sort that out. If I didn't live all the way down south, I'd sort it out for you.

 

As said that's an easy repair, once that's screen out your have more than enough room to repair the sections, 3 ways you can go about it

Find someone cutting up or breaking an escort and cut off what you need
Buy pattern panels and cut off what you need
Fabricate the sections yourself

I'm down south too so I can't help on recommendation either but as its a flat solid colour it should be pretty straight forward for any half decent bodyshop

Many thanks for the replies guys. Given me hope I might make some progress as once these bits are sorted, it's all pretty much ready to put together, if I can remember where all the bits go!
Next up need a reliable plater who won't loose any of the hard to find wee bits and pieces.
