Why do some people think that there is a mk7 escort? The last was the mk6 wasn't it?

 

Yep, Only an idiot would think that Ford produced a MK7 Escort. You'd be surprised to know people think the Fiesta is on MK8.

 

Agreed. But to be fair a lot of suppliers in the magazines also used to call the 6 a 7.

And Ford complicated it by for no fathomable reason calling the facelift Mk3 a Mk4 and a facelift Mk5 a Mk5b. So you can kind of forgive the people that get it wrong.
