Default What the better cam for VCT delete?

Can anyone advise the best cam to do the vct delete with? Is it best to leave the standard st170 cam in or replace it with a 2.0 zetec cam? I'm just thinking the zetec may be better overall as the st cam switches between different lobes, is this thinking right?

I'm trying not to spend a fortune, adjustable pulleys and the spacer for the inlet cam comes in at Ł150. Cheaper than buying the vct pulley and it will never fail again . And I can change the cams later when I'm feeling flush

standard zetec one won't fit in the inlet side without modification. A standard exhaust cam will fit. you'll need to do something to close up the valve clearances though.

So stick with the standard st cam. Ordered a vct delete kit for the standard cam that enables you to fit zetec Vervier pulleys. Thanks
