Hi All
I'm on with a mk2 YB Install and My fuel rail/reg pipes are quite small ?
I was intending to use 8mm fuel pipe for feed and return !
Are there different fuel rails with slightly bigger pipes I'm sure I used 8mm pipe on another YB conversion I did ?
Thanks Paul
That's massive pipe! Most use -6! Mine is -6 return and -8 feed and that's for 650bhp
Thanks for reply , Are both your rail ends the same size like mine ? And If they are how do you reduce it to -6 for the return ?
I've a blank canvas so can use anything to fit my rail within reason
Cheers paul
My rail is modded to centre feed which is -8 iver end is a -6 fuel return. I'm sure -6 is a little larger or the same as standard
Thanks again , mines only 300bhp so I might be better off using -6 for both on mine and keeping it simple ,
I would only need to change my tank return as that's -8 at the moment ,
One more thing any idea why someone would go to the trouble of welding the 2 halfs of the inlet together ????
I've bought a replacement one, But I wonder how much boost someone ran to require welding it
A fair few up grade as they like the nice shiny aero quip bits lol
That's usually why I do it
Got another question to keep you fellas busy ? I've ditched the welded inlet and painted a old 2wd saph one I had , only to find the front mount of the rail doesn't line up with the lug on the inlet
So am I right in thinking I really need a 2wd rail to match my inlet and I'm guessing my original was off a 4wd or even a escort ?
I can make up a bracket to hold the rail as it will line up with one of the other bolts so it's not a big problem really ! Just another job that takes twice as long as a thought
