I been hearing that a lot! To be honest I'm buying it as a project, expecting to run 200bhp eventually! I no it devalues but I'll keep the original parts, don't want a show car ! Want something to shred the Tarmac with
Wow buying that to modify just doesn't seem right to me.
Was one on eBay earlier this week but someone beat me to it, red in Chelmsford needed a bit of paint could have had it for £1750 but couldn't get there in time.
That would be one to modify.

That looks a lovely example, DON'T MODIFY IT!!!
Motors that original need too be kept so, its like a living Haynes manual for us OE boys!!!
If you get a min poke your head under the rear arch's,where the thread for kit goes through the arch see if its still got the RED rubber grommets fitted between the fixing nut and the metal of inner arch..
That'll prove how genuine it sounds
Either way proper nice frst, wish mine were in that condition, well in one piece would be a good start

If you ask the owner he will tell you to make it nice it wants reprinting as I'm sure it was painted once allready,so unless you own your own bodyshop it don't seem as cheap as you think, also along drive to look for you

I think like anything if it came up and it was a good deal and gave me something to do I would probably go for it. As original as possible though for me. They seem to be getting rarer and rarer in any form though. After the S1 I would never have anothe but I would consider an S2 or FRST, preference on the fiesta at the moment.

I've a thread on fiestaturbo.com...had it for years...

I nut and bolt stripped it, erm that's as far as I got except buying bits as and when..sadly kids, work, time, money the usual have just piled up.plus I just cant find the physical motivation as I'm just as always foooooking working.
I bought her as I've always loved them, pref over the rustcorts tbh as unless you have had one you really don't know how good they are, plus my 1st born daughter had too come home in an RS, perk were its in Essex white,is Essex 1st reg'd and was in very solid condition..still is but it just abit erm stripped now

Anyways a loooooong list of why not's which has and does break my heart as she deserves to be on road but alas I'm just so done with it I want too rehome but I simply seem too bottle it at Las mim and so cycle continues

Erm so yeah that's bout the sum of it fella

Well money talks and BS walks, so if the reddies work id consider very reluctantly letting go...but she is COMPLETELY stripped and all underside has been too its absolute bones and all of sweat needed but for a mk3 as most who have seen it have said its a foooooking solid one if your prepared too get it done that is and except its ready for its resto not left as an unfinished one if you catch my drift....
Although I probs bottle it as usual and keep the cunt if a wallet came out
