Escort rs cosworth 1993 K reg been converted to 2wd using full saff running gear. Engine had bottom end rebuild around 2k ago and is running stg 3 set up, greens injectors, 3bar, t34.63 running 1.3 bar of boost. 10 months mot. Koni adjustable suspension, stainless exhaust, drilled and grooved discs and uprated pads, 2wd 4 pots on front and 4x4 vented on rear. Just fitted good 7.5in diff and poly diff mount. Wrc front bumper and spoiler fitted. Morette quad headlights. Interior is standard and very good condition grey hex cloth.

Didn't you purchase this quite recently? What's made you fall out of love of cosworth ownership so soon?

 

It's just no where near as good as my saff was I built my saff up from a bare shell to be my perfect saff. I sold it last year when I got pissed off cos I broke another gearbox. I'm in the process of trying to get it back as I wish I'd never sold it. I've always loved escort cosworth but it looks fugly with the wrc kit fitted and I've been looking for the bumper and spoilers since the day I bought it and not found anything yet apart front damaged crap.
Since I sold my saff last year I've gone through a mk1 focus rs, series one rst and now an escort cosworth! I'm still not happy though and think I'll only be happy if I can get my old car back

 

I'm assuming you have tried various beakers etc for front and rear bumper yeah? What's the story with the grey inner wings mate? Has it had a colour change or something? You really shouldn't have many issues selling this. Well done for not asking astronomical money for it

 

hpi says its had colour change. There's signs of red paint underneath the grey in the engine bay though. When I got it the headlights and grill were Polaris grey the same as the inner wings. The plastic roof trims are grey and the top section of the wrc spoiler as well

 

Well priced car imo and a nice project for someone. What colour is it on the log book? Do you know / have any history for it?

 

It's red on the logbook and I have no paperwork at all for it. The previous owner told me it was broken for spares around 10yr ago, a lad from up north bought the shell and built it back up then sold it not long after to the bloke I got it from. I don't know what he got with the shell but there a stone chips on the side skirts and rear bumper showing white paint underneath so I'd imagine they came from a doner vehicle/breaker.

I'm really undecided what to do with it at the minute! If I can find standard bumper and spoilers I'd keep it but on the other hand if someone offers me the asking price I'd probably sell it. I have someone wanting to come view it next weekend but I did tell him I could of changed my mind about selling it by then

 

Sure there was a regular on here, years ago that had a K plate in Polaris, sure he broke it? It was down south, Surrey / Hants area....? Don't think it was running big power, 330-350 brake? Can't for the life of me remember his name I'm afraid though, sorry.

Shouldn't a K reg car have the early fuel filler cap? This ones got the late model small turbo flap.

 

Because it's been replaced with the later style one. Probably because the original one rotted around the cap like they all do

 

I think the price Bil is asking is a total bargain and it takes into account any reservations anyone may have by the awesome price

Cheers Steve I just had my cossie blinkers on when I bought it lol not thinking about having to use it everyday haha now Kelly's getting arsy cos I keep knicking her golf to go all round the country in to my bowling tourneys at least with my old focus I could travel up to Nottingham or down to Heathrow and leave it in a car park all day and know it would be there when I got back

White I believe. The engine bay was painted grey after being red as you can see red coming through where it's been chipped
