Default Few random pics of my Saff...

Thought,as it's that time of year again, I'd post a few of mine. Nothing new, till I get it out the garage and give it a good clean, but just a few random shots... Not exactly groundbreaking stuff, it's another Stage 3 Saff on Comp MO's....

Couple from a few years ago, back when it was on RL7's and standard brakes;

Random underneath pic ( I only toshed it over with leftover rattle cans I had kicking about) a proper underbody clean up is on the list of things to do...

This is where I change my mind again!?

Still got the bucket seats and 4point Sabelts but will go back to the standard seats in the future, won't get the kids in the back otherwise!
Did originally plan to have it more for track use, but now just going to keep it for the road...

Don't think my calipers are the lowest profile ones? They're AP's, off, I think, a TVR?

Yes, always bugged me, having the eye and the part it's welded to. Cut that all out and put the strap on (oo-er!?) It's normally tucked away, out of sight..

I agree, I'm liking that tow eye mod especially with the cut out bumper.
Do you just have to cut off the whole row eye mountng?
I like the strap on show too

Cheers Paul

IS that a new chat show with lesbians or something?! What channels it on? Sorry

It's like a plate welded over the cross member, I just ran a cutter across it. It was more on show with the bumper bar cut out, think it looks better...

Thanks! Good to see the tow eye mod is going down better than the black wheels!?

I went for the black tow strap, rather than red so I'd didn't look like Dougals tongue, off of Magic Roundabout!

I had a crack at mine with a hack saw, as I didn't have any discs, but got on better than I'd thought I would! Tidied it up with a grinder later, would of been easier to grind it in the first place...
If you can weld, could weld on a threaded tube to take a screw in tow eye? Think that's what Rod's done....

Flint grey and black wheels would look good I'd say!?

Not a great pic, not helped by me spraying the crossmember black, but shows what's left...
Again, excuse the dust! I need to paint the garage walls and floor to try and stop the dust...

Is that a engine undertray fitted too? Is so there rare. How many have been thrown away in the first few years of there life.

Looks like you have a cold air feed pipe too. I got one fitted to my saff. Every little bit of cold air helps.

Yep, it's the original tray, helps force the air thru the Intercooler too and very handy for holding oil Glenn!

The cold feed come off the back of the fog light duct, up thru where the washer bottle neck was straight onto the cone filter...

When they stop leaking, that is the time to worry cause there is no oil left lol.

Ive seen a saff before with a 3dr cossie washer bottle on the ns inner arch and like yours with a cold air feed pipe goimg through the washer bottle hole.

The washer bottle is under the N/S wing, I fill it thru the hole in the inner wing, behind the headlamp. Got it from work ages ago, it off an old Ferrari, can't remeber which one, but must of been a crap one that would of broken down before it got empty!? Shouldn't think it's much more than a litre!?
Didn't think of the practicalities when I fitted it, I could probably get my little lad to piss in it and fill it in one go...

Worth bearing in mind... I'd need to sort the suspension first, too low as it is, never get 18's under it!? Maybe get Coilovers on the back, so I can at least raise or lower both ends...
