Default Tdci focus 2005

Hi guys, been a while since I wrote. Post!

Basically I put my focus throu mot fri and it passed but the mechanic said, sounds like your engine is gona go bang!

Personally I always thou it has been fine , it does make. Noise like a bit of plastic juttering when I toe it in first towards end of gear but other than that it's spot on , it has done 113000 miles 1.6 tdci,

Could the mechanic be right?

All 1.6's sound tappety when they get some miles on them. There not the best engine to be fair. Done quite a few turbos on them and a couple of engines.

Ah I see, I had few probs with it at the start, I've been told it needs a new thrust bearing, when clutch is no pressed it makes a rattle noise every so often until I press down on clutch! Could this be why he thinks it sounds rough? I'm considering getting a new bottom end for it , 50/50 tho

That sounds more like the dual mass flywheel.
