Stripped my block down today....throughly cleaned it with petrol etc then gave it a paint with Plasticote BBQ Paint....good for upto 450deg C!!





I know its not a Ford.....but hey...its gonna have a turbo on it!! LOL!

 

what engine is it, it looks like a 3 cylinder job?

 

LOL @ 3 cylinder.....it best not go like one!!!

Renault 21 Turbo 8V 4 Cylinder...or at least it was last time I looked!!!!

Well....we've been busy this weekend.....myself, NightDavva & Shorty got stuck into building my engine!!!!

I'll let the pics explain the events....

Few dirty old bits in need of a bit of renovating......





Applied some paint....


Pistons & rods all cleaned up ready...


Fitted into new steel liners together with Ti-Nitride coated rings...

Then it got wrapped up & tucked away ready for the next stint...


Most bolts have been replaced with stainless steel blingy/allen key style jobbies!!!

Just got a few more ancillaries to fit then it can go in - hopefully one evening this week!!! Only running standard injectors until it gets mapped.

BIG BIG BIG thanks to NightDavva for devoting most of his weekend to helping me & for his pure ingenuity when it comes to making things fit perfectly!!!!

Powerwise.....looking at 300bhp+ once its been mapped!!!

 

Can`t wait...............300 ponies in a R21....it`s gonna be mental..

Yeah done quite a bit since then bud......

The rear of the engine bay was looking very shabby so the decision was made to strip it all & paint it......

Then.......I got the quip bug....(will get some more pics this weekend)







...then I got the big brake bug...





So engines in, loadsa parts have been sandblasted & sprayed, intercoolers in, oil coolers plumbed in - just awaiting a few custom bling bits from Lee @ Fusion, got the last of my quip last weekend, got to pick up a few more bits up from the sandblasters, get exhaust welded, got a few more bits to order off 3drstretch then the cooling system can get plumbed in & she can be fired up!!! Cant wait to be honest!!

Then I've got to run her in, then change the management & its off to get mapped!!!

Would love to post up more pics but the internet has alot of prying interested eyes at the moment & secrets will hopefully be my winning edge!!

AP Racing 4 Pots fella off a Clio V6.....however they are hopefully going to be replaced for a set of radial mounts off Nuts RuS as they will be easier to fit so the AP Racing calipers will be getting flogged!!!

Standard injectors for running in....802s - look very similar to cossie 803s!!! Not 100% sure on the injectors I'll be running yet but they definately wont be standard!!!!

You aint seen nothing yet dude!!!!
