Had one as a rental and was horrible. Poorly made, poor mpg and generally a miserable place to sit.
8 seater wise you're very limited.
Toyota Land Cruiser?
Toyota Estima?
Only 8 sweaters I can think off other than vans.

with both those though your looking at a car about 4 years older for the same money and down on power at 130bhp compared to 170 in the Hyundai...theres nothing great about the inside of the torneo, after all its just a transit but ive never been in a vw to compare.

Neighbours a couple of doors down have an I800, they have had it a couple of years now and a few months ago it cost them just over £2k for brakes all round and some other issue, i cant remember what tho.
it is a fairly new one too, i dont know what year tho.

Platinum Hyundai in Chippenham tried to rob my Mrs of a grand after they fucked something up that they did under warranty. Ol Dan Hayward went down in his pickup and towed it straight out of their workshop!!
Mother in law, used the same garage for many years, almost a family friend type!
I've tried a garage via a member from here.
Mother in law was quoted a job on her car that was over £150 - £200 difference from what a PF member said it would cost.
Said PF member is now her go to mechanic (as is mine)
Some people are more than happy to fuck others over.

Vw transporter, can make em look great for little money, discovery 3 alloys fit straight on or Range Rover wheels.
Some great interior choices, big following, hold their money well and reliable.
Will still be worth a good price when you require more seats and need a coach.

we went for a test drive in an i800 today. pulled well for a big motor , lots of space inside , interior trim...? ive seen worse but its not exacly top of the range stuff but seemed chunky enough to be kid proof. the only thing that concerned me was that the gearbox seemed very tight to move up and down the box , needing a bit more force than youd expect.
are they known for gearbox/clutch issues? this ones 2009 with 100000 miles on the clock at £7300.....,?

My wife's Hyundai i20 is exactly the same, very stiff to get in to gear sometimes. To get it into 1st you have to go from neutral, into 2nd, then up to 1st. I've got a new box here to put in when this one finally gives up.
I would never, ever recommend a high mileage Hyundai. They are cheap shit right from the start and they certainly don't get any better with age.

no, got to be 8, shes a childminder who works from home so needs it for the school run for all the kids she looks after.
I was suggesting a 9 seat minibus , ford, Vauxhall or whatever but she seems set on an i800.

Have a look at the car warehouse . Com Middlesbrough.
They sell a lot of 8 seater imports. I was going to buy from them till I made the retard choice of purchasing a 7 seater Jeep.
