Default Suspension opinions and advice?

Hi all,

Thinking about the best setup for a S2 RST, i want it to look nice but really want it to handle well.

Do i go for coilovers?

Do i go for Koni adjustables and -25mm springs?

Is it worth using Powerflex Polybushes?

Is there such thing as a rear strut brace for the RST?

I've heard that over 25mm drops cause understeer - this true?

What are all you lot running?

Cheers

Will

I would be VERY VERY surprised if Deflex supply Powerflex. Poweflex are made by their parent company EPTG. People on here have had quality issues with Deflex. Its a case of 'You get what you pay for' IMO.

I am pretty confident Deflex DON'T supply Powerflex. I have Powerflex bushes on mine and they are not the same as the Deflex kits....

I personally thought powerflex was the company next door to Power Engineering in Uxbridge, and they made their own stuff on site? Could be wrong...

Big Will 85, whats the car going to be used for ?

I run all the adjustable Gp A stuff and it's the only way to go if you want it to handle well round corners. The only bushes on my car are the ones the exhaust hangs from

Droping it too low will cause geometry problems yes, plus it will give you extremely rapid tyre wear as you will not have a full footprint on the road unless you can re adjust the settings.

Nat College for Motorsport....... is that Myerscough ??

National College for Motorsport is made up of 3 colleges mate, Tresham in Northampton, Oxford & Cherwell in Bicester and Milton Keynes College in Bletchley.

We've all got access to facilities up at silverstone and each college specialises in something a bit different...

I'm at Oxford & Cherwell myself, got an interview with Prodrive on wednesday, so might not be a student for much longer

So what sort of money am i looking at for group A stuff then?
