Default New focus 1.8 cam belt not running true

I have just replaced the cam belt and it is not running true it is hanging over tensionern by about 2/3mm and the bearing sounds as if it is about tosieze up.l used a new dayco kit and it was buzzing after I installed it so took it out and reinstalled it again and it quietened down but is know running off centre towards the front by about 2/3mm and is noisy what's happened and is it safe to use

id buy a 2nd new kit, fit 2nd kit, get car on road and get the first kit refunded if possible
deffo wouldnt use it if it sounds like its going to to seize and the belts off the tensioner.

I have done 4 other cam belts before a Mondeo diesel 2 escorts and a scenic without any trouble infact the escorts use the same tensioner and they were fine.I am using it at the moment as I need it to get to work, its just the tensioners a bit noisey
