Default Compression test results

Did a comp test on my rs2k last night to see if I can find out why its using oil.

They were 150 165 165 150

Is that okay? No major differences.

Also noticed the exhaust is very sooty on the tail pipe.

Did you check with all the plugs removed and throttle wide-open?

Valve stem seals and guides are a common reason on any engine for
oil consumption.

No left plugs in and did one at a time. Was told to do it that way :/

I've noticed a very small leak but nothing too bad to use that much oil.

There's a lot of white smoke from cold on start up gets better when warm but still does a bit when warm.

How would a compression test help diagnose oil consumption?
