Surely a 3door model will be available! Looks like an average family focus with a twin exhaust to me. Needs more aggression!

Ford UK have confirmed the power for the 2016 Focus RS. All 350 glorious PS of it.

EDIT:
Ford has revealed the new Focus RS will produce an astonishing 350hp – that’s 10% more than the Ford Mustang 2.3 EcoBoost it shares an engine with!

The headline-grabbing peak power output has been revealed on the eve of the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where hoonigan Ken Block is set to entertain the crowds on the Goodwood Hillclimb behind the wheel of the new Focus RS.

Making its UK debut, the new ultra-hot Ford’s battery of driving tech will be demonstrated, including the industry-first Drift Mode that allows controlled oversteer drifts.

Ford has also confirmed a maximum torque of 324lb ft (440Nm) will be boosted to a heady 346lb ft (470Nm) for 15-second intervals during hard acceleration. Making it of the most powerful AND punchiest hatchbacks ever.

As much as people have already slated it for not being as outrageously styled as the MK2 with it being a 5d and missing wider arches.. also loaded with a 4 banger,

I am really looking forward to seeing them and what people do to them. There seems to be quite a lot of hate for them out there already on the internet (not in this thread) which is odd considering no one has driven one yet and on paper it will be the fastest stock RS out there correct me if I'm wrong lol. It will be undeniably quick and far more after market products will appear since it's a global car. I think there will be a lot of people eating their words ha.

My predictions are within 5 minutes of people buying them they'll start appearing with the spoilers and plastics painted gloss black with tripple r splitters (not that it's a bad thing).

As for colour it looks like Olympic blue I think? I reckon it will look far more impressive in real life with darker alloys.

All depends on the price too.

Audis RS3 is 40k and has got 370bhp with the quattro system, i think it looks far better too (hate the new shapes they are making). Would love the Focus but if its going to be 35k i would rather spend the extra and get the Audi.

The colour is called "Nitrous Blue" and is only available on the Focus RS according to Ford.

The darker blue in most of the press / launch pictures is called "Liquid Blue" and Ford say is only a show colour at the moment.

It's going to be competitive, not everyone can afford that extra so it will be interesting. I appreciate the Audi for what it is and respect it's performance but for me they are still just another Audi I have the same feeling towards the Golf R. There is something about owning a Fast Ford that I find most appealing despite the fact that to over half the population likewise it is just another Ford, subjective I guess as with most things.

If I had 35-40k to spunk I'd not buy either if I'm honest. That sort of money on a hot hatch is daft.

Not being phat and outrageous isn't a bad thing in my book.
At least most of the panels on it will standard focus not like the previous versions before it which are outrageous prices now for parts.
People think that because it hasn't got big spoilers or wide arches it shouldn't have an rs badge but I strongly disagree as this will run rings round most hippos and mk1 focus rs.

It wont be more than Ł30k in my opinion!

The Mustang Ecoboost is Ł28995. And the Mustang GT is Ł32995. So they will market FRS between them to not damage sales on both the Focus and the Mustang. If its less than a Mustang Ecoboost, then that entry level Mustang becomes useless. Dearer than a Mustang GT, who in their right mind would by a Focus over a V8 Mustang that was cheaper.

Interesting to see what's the craic with Mountune or if Ford Performance themselves, offer warranted modifications from the dealers. I know Mountune currently have a white Mustang Ecoboost and there has been chat of a Mustang MR350 and MR400. And some yanks have the Mustang Ecoboost over 500BHP already! So i would say the Focus RS will get some nice treatment in general too!

With the new Focus RS, I still can not make friends. The acceleration information is not really outstanding for all-wheel
