In between oil changes of about 6000 miles, how much oil would you expect to top up on the above?

Our one used to go through a bit of oil, prob about a litre every 1k - 2k miles?

I did read somewhere that these engines can suffer with sticking rings caused by lack of oil changes and getting thrashed from cold???

After a good hard run to try and clear it things improved dramatically and its been much better for the last 3 years or so. Prob goes through a litre every 5k - 6k now but it has mega miles on it

Quick update on this

Rocker gasket cover had started to perish, apparently quite comment so got it sorted. Back to putting not even 500ml every 5000 miles in now
