This is a rare opportunity to own a original classic ford .she is a stunning mk1 ford escort lotus twin cam . she was built in 1970 [h] and has just 69,000 original miles on the clock. taxed and mot .This is a forty four year old car with the original
floor and chassis with NO WELDING .she was fitted with a webasto full length sunroof from new at dealership ,which is the main reason she has been kept in such great condition and has not been raced and ralleyed The panels are all original with a small amount of work done on front end .new top plates and was re-sprayed in its standard colour [ermine white]to a very high standard around five years ago She has been dry stored and covered all her life and only goes out to the odd show ,on dry days . a sad shame .There were only 883 of these vehicles made in the uk from 1968 t0 1971 .There are many made up good copies and re shelled ones out there , but this is the original article.
This is a later type 49 ,round headlight version .this vehicle is as standard with the exception of electronic ignition system which aids starting and performance .starts and runs well with NO SMOKE , bumps or rattles .i have spent a lot of time and money on her so you wont have to .I have many more detailed pictures if requested .viewing cam be arranged by appointment only ,any inspection or test drive welcome ,weather permitting.
