As the title says. These are cars that may be common place on our roads but are truely awful to drive. I've had the misfortune of driving a Nissan figaro, an early Mazda 6, air cooled VW beetle and an Austin maxi. What are your automobile horror experiences?
pug 106 but that might just be because my knees touched the steering wheel and i'd press all 3 pedals with one foot when trying to break.
wasn't really impressed by a friends bmw 130i either the driving position felt wrong and cramped and the new shape audi tt tdi didn't like that either oh and a pontiac coupe thing while i was in america a few years ago automatic no room in the boot and even though it only had a few thousand miles on it was falling apart

Forgot to say I had a Citroen C1 as a loan car the other week, that was a shocker! Felt very unstable and the 3 cylinder so called engine was gutless beyond belief.
pug 106 - like the car but no room in the footwell, ended up catching the side when trying to use the accelerator, also the gear change is like stirring custard. Apart from that i'd still have one.
audi tt - too tall to see out and just a horrible car (first gen tt's not tried newer one's)

I would say the worst car I have driven was a derv Vauxhall Vectra was uncomfortable, slow and felt shit in corners did have 80k on it so was pretty humped.
New Astra also was a crap drive would be more comfortable sitting on a crate.

every BMW i have driven i have hated, they are so small inside, although i have only driven a few 5 series, and had to drive a new shape taxi black cab the other day, and that was crap, small inside, gutless, slow, never want to do that again
For me its the 3 wheeler robin i look after for an old chap. Did a rear axle on it a few weeks back then thought i would run it down the road to make sure it was all fine. Holy shit those things are nasty over 15mph lol Lets just say i wont be driving it again.
VW Fox, had one for 3 days as a courtesy car, had 20k on the clock, both doors leaked water in, the passenger door panel was off because the window had been wedged shut due to the mechanism breaking, ignition barrel was wanked so the steering lock wouldn't disengage, shit stereo, seats like a deck chair, no storage space, wouldn't take any corner at any speed.
VW Up! wasn't much better, although guess they are cheap for a reason. The 3cyl lump did a good burnout though lol

Was going to say 106 or 206 for the space issues mentioned already. Had to take my shoes off when I had to drive one.
But absolute worst ever is a Microcar, 500cc's of epic automotive porn. I people think normal crappy cars are bad, you ain't ttied anything lol. Bang it in forward and press the accelerator... Count to 5 and it'll start to pull away slowly with the wort vibration ever. Like this.. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/310962852600

The Citroen Saxo (non sporty model) was a particularly hateful thing for similar reasons that I hated the Pug 106, tremendous body roll and almost impossible (with boot on) to not press several pedals at once by accident...
Astra turbo I hired a few years back. I had back ache after 5 mins of driving in to a 4.5hour journey. I was walking like a cripple when I got out at the other end.
On the non driving side I was a passenger in the back of a Renault espace last week and the floor is so high in the rear it felt like my knees were under my chin almost. A 5min journey in that was horrible.

Pug 406 Diesel, actually the slowest thing I have ever experienced, could not believe how slow they are, but damn good cars at the same time.
Will run forever and a day with over a couple of hundred thousand miles on them and they were actually not too bad inside if you had a decent specc'd one, still mega shit just for being so slow!

and probably worth what I paid for it.Driven a lot lot worse tho.
As a work horse you can't beat them IMO.
Worst car for me was a pooh brown, 1.0 ax, just wrong! And dangerous.
My experience of RR sports was terrible, feel good in them but the are so fragile and electronically temperamental, especially considering the cost.

The 106 for me and the Saxo cause pressin all the peddles at once. The old mk1 corsas, the manual steering was so heavy I could never understand that on a small car. Drove a customers Chrysler psydeo or something it was called the other day, 60 plate I think it was bloody hateful and so gutless it was dangerous. Drove a standard mk1 escort 4 door auto and that was horrific, and the Merc 7.5 tonne trucks u need 2 hands to get the buggers into reverse.
I think he meant a new ford ranger, not range rover. I have a tdv8 Rangie 2009 and it is utterly the most comfortable car I have ever driven....bentleys included.

Had a rag top Chrysler pt cruiser as a loan car from Mercedes a few years ago and that was utter kak, was meant to be a 2.4 but I've no idea what it was actually connected to because it didn't seem to make the car move
Years and years ago, my old man had a Sierra 2.3d Estate. That was slow, think is was about 60hp but was ok to drive.
Worse I've driven and that only as I couldn't put the seat back far enough was an old Landrover.
I actually like the little shitbox hire / courtessy cars as they remind me of first starting driving when a lot of us were happily burning round in Mk2 Escort 1.3's, Chevettes and the like.
I had an old Mini 1000 for about three years as my main car, that was slow but what an absolute hoot to drive.

It was a brand new range rover. It was a very comfy car but it fell to bits in four days of abuse. It was no good as a support vehicle.
