Hi everyone, im knew to this site so please be nice lol. I brought a focus ST 2007 plate from a dealer last Wednesday, i did about 120 miles before the engine management light came on. So i stopped driving and looked under the bonnet, and there was oil over the engine and it's lost half of its coolant. (just had a service) so im not happy! I rang dealer and got the car sent over to them, they have got back to me saying it was a seal on the oil filter housing? Could this course the engine management light to come on dash, and lose half its coolant?? Please help!!! Thanks joe

 

Problems with filter housing usually come with a fan belt slipping noise we changed the factory fitted part which was a Ford part to a part we bought from a Ford dealer which was a volvo part then the oil pressure switch blew so replaced that then the dipstick oil seal went so replaced that ,did lose a lot of oil then but went better than ever once all that had been done but got about ten miles from the garage and the clutch went when I tried to change from 6th to 4th I think but won't go into gear just 1st to 3rd when switched off won't go into any gear when engine running

 

What a nightmare mate, i thought the ST was a reliable car. Since buying one ive seen so many problems lol. Dare i say it....why didn't i go for a civic type r lol
