Just had a look at my cap for you and the OD of the threads is 31.5mm but on the standard screw in plastic cap i have the threads are rounded/rolled so unable to measure pitch properly but they are roughly 3mm apart if thats any help

Not surem they look same but are the threads the same?
Mark, as much as i would have an alloy cap, there is no advantage in that for me, looks have no importance for my sport.

2WDs are the bayonet fitting, everything else including the small turbo is threaded.

ill always go for the standard look if I can. Only parts modded on mine are to up rate performance. Oil cap will not do that so its the standard one

Bloody hate metal ones myself... the one thing we have to do often is check oil on cars that have just been generating 2,3,4,5,6,700 bhp... now why do you think the O.E's made that part PLASTIC? LOL

Drives me nuts mate. Why fit header tanks you cant see into so have to let the engine go almost cold to take the cap off and oil caps you cant remove when hot without scalding yourself?
The two primary areas you might want at the side of the road or ina fuel station and you have to sit there waiting for it to cool down. FFS...
