ST200
Ok my first post here so please be gentle if ive posted in the wrong place, After 5 pleasant years of owning a mk3 v6 ghia x I decided the time had come for me to buy the love of my life, An ST200 (nearly bought one before the mk3) Stupidly I went and bought the first one I saw, and with a know issue! No problem I thought how hard can it be to sort? Oh how I have eaten those words over the last 8 weeks, yep ive gone and bought one with a VERY intermittent non start issue, may go as long as 2 weeks may go 2 days, contacted 3 auto elecs, the first one told me it was the BCM "body control module", it was actually having one of its "off days" when he came and plugged his snap on reader in, said he would get back to me (he never did), The second one wouldn't entertain it, was too intermittent but said it WOULDNT be the BCM?????, contacted a 3rd he said he couldn't diagnose unless the car failed to start, The second and 3rd refused to let me "leave it with them" Even the AA man didn't have a clue, though by the time he had got to me it started first time
, its a strange one, if it doesn't start and then I leave it for 20 mins or so it fires up fine??? I can hear the fuel pump prime car turns over fine whether it starts or not? So guys if any of you have the faintest id love to hear from you, I will even include the REG it may be forum members old car and they might be able to shed some light? Y703 LHJ many thanks in advance, Paul.

Slightly off topic but I'm sure your car with a LHJ plate was a Ford management demo car that used to come our dealer.
No signs of damaged wiring or water in the fuse box?

Not really had a look, going to leave all the suggestions to my son in law, my idea of DIY is Destruct It Yourself! Thanks for the hint though, its a place to start I suppose! was going to start chucking loads of money at it, HT leads plugs coil pack cam and crank sensor, suppose the list could be endless? Quick one for you, do you know where the BCM is situated? Many thanks Paul
