Did you drain/flush out the intercooler when you fitted the new turbo? Could be full of oil from the old turbo if the seals had gone on it.

Yes all was taken off when fitting the turbo and checked. Cleaned feed and drain also.
It's had a new felpro head gasket.

Does the grey/white smoke smell like oil or burning antifreeze?

How did you clean the intercooler and all air pipes/hoses?

Possibly be unburnt oil in the exhaust system? Could take a while to burn it off.

All parts washed in parts cleaner the rinsed with water and dried. But to be fair not to contaminated in the first place.
It's bailey oil breather. Breather in back of block.
It does smell but not like oil though.

Grey/white is most likely water (steam), turbo oil seal would be very obviously blue (oil)..... Water will be head gasket, cracked head/block.
