I foookin love this car.

The bloke brought it over from Japan for quite cheap, not knowing anything about it realy apart from it had a enormous Trust turbo on it and it was claimed to be 700bhp.

He got it over, got it on the rollers, and they wernt fookin about, even with the engine not in perfect health, the managment not being too good, and few lil niggly probs, the car pulled about 650bhp from a 2litre (its about 2050cc, not 2.2 like he originaly thought), i got the dyno sheets here somewhere, cant find em tho, il post em when i do.

I did a bit of research for him and i found his car, with the previous owner, and pics, in a Jap drag racing website, its ran a proven 10.7qtr mile on roadlegal tyres in Japan, 2nd fastest MR2 turbo in Japan some years, and ran loadsa 10s.
Not bad for a 2litre RWD!

As you can imagine a 2litre engine with a T88 turbo (even the smallest ones are rated to 850bhp!) is fookin well hard to drive and even harder to launch so his times arnt close to the 10s like its done in the past yet, but FUCK ME doesnt it go some once its rolling!

Love the car, totaly subtle, hanst even got a spoiler, but is really silly fast.

Hes still sorting it out, making it how it should be, but even now its bloody mental.

Owners a top bloke too, and even better, theres a place on the passenger seat for me for helping him out with stuff, cant wait, theres faster things, but i doubt theres much more scarey!

In the vid vs the skyline? Its more cause he bogged down rather than actual lag, but yea, cant expect it to be unlaggy with that kind of power n turbo size on a 2litre

yes the mr2 is over 700bhp now marc from the garage has done some work to it and it is running sweet as a nut now well was its going bk to marc think its this week jav said, there is sumthing wrong with the turbo
as its not got a filter on it

lol thats funny guy was in a rb5 and that wasnt the mr2 owner driveing (jav) it was marc that was driveing the mr2...marc with the garage skyline


he got a good time and cany remember what the time was tho

 

and if any 1's wondering what happened at 100% modified he launched it in to a wall still fooking fast though on its first ever run in the uk i heard it cracked the exhaust manifold am sure marcs doing a good job on it though cant wait to c it run when its running in top shape should stick some hoosier gumballs on it or some other sticky slicks just to c what it runs when it can actualy grip

 

there is new tyres on the car, and it sticks ti the ground good he cany even do a burn out with them thats how sticky they are

makes me want to sell the rally slag nova and the missuss festa and get an mr2 tub!
