AS ABOVE I JUST GOT A CHIPPED ECU SECOND HAND AND WAS WONDERING IF SOMEONE MIGHT BE ABLE TO SHED SOME LIGHT ON WHAT I'VE JUST BOUGHT.
IT IS A SUPERCHIPS BLACK CHIP ............. IS THIS JUST THE TYPE OF CHIP OR DOES THE COLOUR REFER TO THE STG 1 (165) OR 2 (195) TUNE , AS I THINK I REMEMBER SEEING A BLUE CHIP ADVERT SOMEWHERE ...............

i think the 165 will cut the boost at 14.5 psi and the 195 is a 18 psi cut. would need a picture of it really

 

jus juice up the boost on a rollin road and see wat it cuts in at, on;y real; way to be certain

 

looks like the cheapest way to me m8 i've already got a stg 1 chipped ecu fitted to my car at the mo. its just i bought a ship load of rs parts of a m8 local and in one of the bags was this ecu with the black chip sticker on the out side.
might just plug it in and do the do if it cuts in at 14 psi then its stg 1 if it cuts in at 18 then great i'll swap it and sell my stg 1 on.
i'm hoping to be going 2.1 very soon as the engine is all done bar the over bore this way i will hopefully crack the 200 bhp mark???
as i 've already got a 1.8 in now on stg one and i got 180 bhp was hoping for closer to the 200 mark but nevermind, next time ehh?
