Hey guys,

I bought this car a little while ago while I was at home in Australia, my intention being to break it for parts & build a good replica to use out there. After seeing the condition of the body I know it is very poor bodywise but would be a fantastic base for a reshell. The car is in Blackpool, doesn't run (needs a fuel pump & a bloody good service at least!) and will need to be trailered away. It is Black, is a complete cossie replica other than the XR4i motor but the motor has been turbo'd so should go pretty well. It has original alloy wheels complete with centres that have the original Key. 3 door side glass windows have been fitted although the bodywork around the glass has simply given up! Nice summer project for the right person. Complete with plate 'A8 FSC'

Hey guys - just a quick update on this car, everything on it is genuine ford and is a car worth reshelling, which is exactly what I've decided to do, so please no more stupid offers on it for a grand via PM, 1k would never buy this car and I think that some of you should know better! Hell, a turbo 2.8 Cologne motor sold on eBay for Ł1000 on its own recently. I'm not skint and I don't need the money, all I need is a good XR4i and some spare time.

With a little time invested this would make an excellent replica and would be a project that I would love to get into. It would take a very interesting offer to change my mind at this point. I Have the import approval for the car to come to Australia & a tentative shipping date of the 29/3 from Newcastle. If between now and then someone offers me the full asking price then I will sell, otherwise she's coming to Queensland for restoration.

Nobody's gonna offer you a substantial amount of cash for a mangled rot ridden 4i half shell.... Take it to oz ,spend 6k getting it looking good and send us the build pics so u can gloat what we missed

 

You are just repeating exactly what I already said yesterday!

I'm simply looking forward to a nice little project to complete during my spare time that's all. Is gloating a prerequisite in your world? Perhaps you are still feeling a little hurt because I didn't respond to your PM back in October (when you must have been searching specifically for a "mangled rot ridden 4i half shell")? Do you need a little positive reinforcement? Maybe a little cuddle and to be told that everything is going to be ok?

Also, if you are going to describe my car (which is very rough let's be honest!), you should use the correct terminology, it's not 'rot ridden' it's 'riddled with rot' - you might find using a dictionary useful.

Now if you'll excuse me, it's 34 degrees and my pool is calling.
